What an amazing weekend of worship!! It was a tremendous time to gather the entire church together for 1 service, and the energy and excitement of the people in worship was terrific. As I had the opportunity to lead out, I sensed the power and presence of God moving in my heart and through the congregation. Our Lord is amazing and I cannot wait to see what God is going to do at FBC Lubbock in the very near future.

My story begins as a child at First Baptist Lubbock. My grandparents were faithful attendees, My grandad a Deacon. My parents were there every time the door was open. So I guess you could say I grew up in church - FBC Lubbock to be exact. It was in the Youth Ministry of FBC Lubbock led by Chuck Williams(Pastor of Live Oak Community Church)that God began to mold my life, drew me to Him, caused my Heart to be open to accepting Him as my Saviour and later my Sophomore year calling me into Full Time Christian Service. God really used people such as Lawanna Moore, Geneva Cagle, Tom Law, Wade Taylor, D L Lowrie, Hayes Wicker and Russell Hartsfield to draw me to Him. He used these people as key people to train me up, bring me up in His word, living and seeking Him. FBC Lubbock gave me opportunity to experience in full what being a Christian is all about from serving in the church to serving on the Mission Field. Now in my 30's with my own family we serve in our church, First Baptist Allen, Texas. We serve not just in the church but as well in Missions. God also brought us into the calling I had of Full Time Christian Service by having my wife & I begin Hurting Hearts Ministries, A Ministry for Ministers going through difficult times. If it were not for FBC Lubbock being my surogote parent and coming along side my parents when I was young I would probably have chosen not to be involved in church much less in Ministry. Praise God for the People of FBC Lubbock that have invested in lives like mine for so many years!
