Beginning Your Journey Of Faith In Jesus
1. ADMIT you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 - "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord."

2. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is THE way, THE truth, THE life. No person comes to God except through Him (Jesus).

Romans 5:8 - "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."

John 14:6 - "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

3. CONFESS your sins to God.

Romans 10:9-10 - "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

4. REPENT, turn away from sin and self - change directions.

Luke 13 - "Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate?3 “I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish..." continue reading

5. ASK God for His forgiveness and transfer your trust away from sin and self to Jesus Christ and make Him your forgiver and your leader (boss).

If you desire to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then talk to God from your heart with your own words.

Example - "Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner but, I believe You died and rose from the grave to make me a new creation and to prepare me to dwell in your presence forever. Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me. I am now placing my trust in You alone for my salvation and I accept you into my life."
6. COMMIT your life to following Christ and His teachings.

True repentance in life brings about "Real Change" in a life. You are a new creation into whom the very spirit of God has come. God's plan for you is that you get to know Him in a vibrant, personal way.
