The purpose of the Christian Women's Job Corps, a ministry of WMU, is to provide a Christian context in which women in need are equipped for life and employment; and a mission's context in which women help women.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
- Jeremiah 29:11-13
Making A Difference In Someone's Life...
CWJC is a life-skills program, holistic in nature and ministers to women within her family and cultural systems. The focus is "choosing to change." Each woman is encouraged to set appropriate goals, accept the mentor support system, and dedicate themselves to the self-discipline of meeting program guidelines. With the help of a trained and dedicated mentor, women have the much-needed help to progress step by step to personal growth and full time employment.
There are no age, ethnic, denominational, or educational restrictions to enrollment. Enrollment to CWJC participants is limited only by a woman's desire and commitment to change in order to become self-sufficient. All guidelines are designed to help ensure a successful completion and graduation.
All tuition, books, and supplies are provided with no charge to participants. CWJC also provides some assistance in childcare and transportation.
Find out how you can become a part of Christian Women's Job Corps by contacting Denise Kopriva, Executive Director at (806) 762-3601. There is a place for you at CWJC.
