Within the CWJC program, there are many volunteer opportunities available and one of the most important is that of a mentor. A mentor is a trusted counselor, guide, tutor, and coach. Mentoring is a deliberate transfer of wisdom from one person to another. It is purposeful, intentional and planned. It is a transfer of wisdom based on ones life experiences rather than the transfer of knowledge systems or behavior techniques. It happens in a one-on-one personal relationship through time. If you are female, experiencing a mature spiritual walk with the Lord, and possess the desire to help one of our ladies...WE NEED YOU!
"Working with Christian Women's Job Corps as a mentor has been a rewarding and learning experience for me. It has helped me realize the number one desire of most of these students is to improve their lives by growing in self-confidence improving their job skills, strengthening their family, and growing in their relationship with God. The student I work with has grown in all of these areas. She is now a confident, outgoing young woman whose family has also grown stronger. I know that through God's help our relationship will grow stronger." JL
EMPLOYER OPPORTUNITIES
There is also a need for local businesses to work with our ladies as they seek employment upon graduation-many for the first time. Would you or your business be willing to experience a heart-felt blessing by assisting these ladies with an opportunity to follow their dreams as they strive to better their lives? If you have, or are aware of entry-level positions, won't you please consider hiring graduates of the Christian Women's Job Corps program? All they need is a hand up, so join us in seeking to bring blessings to those we serve through a new start.
SPONSOR OPPORTUNITIES
The CWJC is a non-profit ministry that depends primarily on volunteers. However, minimal funding is needed to sustain and enhance our ministry. We are in search of individuals, churches, businesses, agencies, or organizations that are willing to help us assist these ladies become self-sufficient and productive citizens of our community.
Your charitable gift
could provide the means to
maintain and improve existing
areas of our program. Whether it
is a one-time gift, a monthly
donation, or an annual
contribution, your bequest could
make a tremendous difference in
these ladies lives as well as
the lives of their children.
There are many times when we
could use donations such as furniture and large appliances as well. All donations are tax deductible.
